Livin' the LA Lifestyle

My best friend Carly gracefully gave me the LA tour. In my 2.5 days with her, we did all of the following...

(1) Went to the USC campus, where Carly was shooting a movie (which I got to be a part of!)

(2) Went to the Chinese Theater to see the Walk of Fame and do some awesome shopping.

(3) Saw the infamous Hollywood sign

(4) More amazing shopping along Rodeo Dr.

(5) Had the tastiest sushi ever at the Geisha House
(6)Sunbathed at the Santa Monica Pier
(7) Also, in these 2.5 days, Carly managed to get me hooked on Pinkberry and Iced Hazelnut Lattes from the Coffee Bean.

(8) Another thing not pictured above, is the funniest game to play whilst in LA, "Name that Movie Star." At the architecture/German festival we saw Peyton Manning, Paul Giamatti. Patricia Arquette, and Dustin Hoffman.

I had the most fabulous time with her and will definitely be back for some more of the above.

The York Hotel

When trying to check-in to the Hyatt in San Francisco, David discovered there was no big comfy bed for us in this fabulous times ten hotel. Instead they redirected our weary bodies to a very interesting/historical place. When we got there, we were trying to make the best of it. We found out that this hotel was where Alfred Hitchcock shot Vertigo, thus making its appearance a little more acceptable. Until we meandered into our room. It was expected for 4 grown adults to sleep in 2 twin beds. We were all at a loss for words. Starving and exhausted from a 10 hr drive from LA that day, we all started to laugh. Hey, we can't always stay in the nicest hotels for free.

My very own bedroom

With my house being overtaken by stuff for the bar in the garage that has been in the works for over 12 years, this is what has become of my bedroom, where I slept for 3 months. My mom and sister actually managed to move stuff around and clear some space. It was quite cozy, but sometimes may have been a bit messy.

p.s. that is a dvd player on the bed that I used to watch Ratatouille to help me fall asleep every night.

My Boyfriends.

Over the summer, I may have acquired a few extra boyfriends (they weren't mine exactly, more-so David's). However, I will miss them.

Name Change

I've been having trouble recently when talking to people about my roommates, or ex-roommates, well they weren't just my roommates they're my best friends (you can sense the agony). So, I have determined that a permanent name change is in order. They will now be referred to as my Best Friends. These girls are one of the best things to ever happen to me and have made the past four years of my life, absolutely amazing.

Ach Liebe

After reading my roommates stellar blogs for a few years now, I have decided it's time. Ach Liebe, meaning 'Ah Love' in German, is the name I have given to the clothes I make and my attempt of a blog. This blog was created to share my new found adventures, my creative endeavors, and my random train of thought with the world.

May the Adventure Begin

In t-minus 19 hours, I will be on a plane to L.A. There, I will visit one of my very best friends, Carly Hallam. My mother asked me to sit at the airport for several hrs so I could get her a picture or an autograph from a celebrity. From there I will be joining David, and his brothers on their bachelor party road trip, on the 7 hr drive up to San Francisco. I have a room in the Bayview district, which is in the city, but don't ask me with who (I have either forgotten those details or didn't ask). August 4th, I start a 16 wk internship with Rita Barela Productions, Inc. I am so stoked for this new chapter (no not chapter, entirely new book) to begin, but saddened when thinking of all the things I will leave behind. I consider this to be a complete learning experience, not only with the internship but with myself. Check back for future posts to see if I make it out of this alive.
